Cameron Brink Continues to Turn NBA Superstars into Sparks Fans
The WNBA campaign is about three weeks in and there has been constant excitement and intrigue in the league. This rookie class featuring Cameron Brink, Caitlin Clark, Kamilla Cardoso, Rickea Jackson, and Angel Reese continues to help grow the game.
The Sparks had two Top four picks in the 2024 WNBA Draft, that led to them selecting both Brink and Jackson.
Brink is a legitimate two-way threat in the frontcourt. She's dominated throughout her collegiate career and thrived while attending the University of Stanford. Brink's young resume already includes a 2024 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year award, three-time Associated Press All-American (2022-24), and a National title in 2021.
She also was named to the 2024 USA 3 x 3 Women's National Team, which will compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Brink has added a lot of interest to the Sparks and a fellow superstar NBA player came to support her on June 7 at Crypto.com Arena.
Sparks News: Jimmy Butler Came to Support Cameron Brink
In Friday's tilt against the Dallas Wings, Jimmy Butler was seen at the game in a Brink jersey.
The 22-year-old said in May that Butler was her favorite player in the league and he decided to come show her some love.
After the game, the two were seen taking pictures and sharing a hug. During an interview during the game, Butler said that No. 22 looks good in purple and gold, which is the same number that both players wear.
That comment certainly added some excitement among Laker nation but Butler was probably just talking about Brink.
Regardless, Butler made sure to pull up and show support to the young star early in her career. Brink has given the fanbase a lot to be excited about.
