The Los Angeles Chargers have undergone a lot of change this offseason. It started by replacing Brandon Stanley and Tom Telesco with Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz.

They continued to change things around as they released Mike Williams and traded away Keenan Allen.

With the WR position now bare, many believed the Chargers were going to snag either Marvin Harrison Jr or Malik Nabers to become the new No. 1 target for Justin Herbert. As we inch closer to the draft, a surprise player has skyrocketed the draft board and is now expected to be the fifth overall pick.

Chargers Rumors: Three Draft Experts Has Los Angeles Taking JC Latham

Peter Schrager dropped his final mock draft and he has the Chargers picking Alabama's JC Latham.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah also has the Chargers nabbing Latham and that means something. Both Jeremiah and Schrager are two of the most plugged-in analysts in the NFL so they are certainly hearing noise surrounding Latham and Los Angeles.

Another analyst who tends to be well-connected, Charles Robinson is right there with Schrager and Jeremiah.

Harbaugh loves to be the more physically imposing team and that's exactly what Latham represents. The Wisconsin native is one of the strongest players in the draft and completely overpowers others. He moves well for his size and owns violent hands to drive back blockers.

Despite this, Latham needs to develop more as a pass blocker and also had a problem with penalties (18 over the past two seasons).

Regardless of his flaws, he's the type of player that Harbaugh loves and fits his culture. And while a trade-down is still a real possibility for the Chargers at five, it looks an awful lot like they'll pull the trigger with a reach on Latham if they kind get a good price from a potential buyer.

The biggest shift came on the sportsbooks, as Latham has the second-highest odds (+350) to be the selection at No. 5 overall.
