The Los Angeles Chargers are turning over to a new page this season after they had a terrible 5-12 last year. It led to an overturn at the organization's top, with both Tom Telesco and Brandon Staley being let go.

Now Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz are the new HC/GM duo in charge of Los Angeles' rebuild.

Harbaugh came from the University of Michigan, where the Wolverines went 15-0 and won the National Championship last season. It wasn't a secret that he wanted to draft some players from Michigan and he did just that.

Los Angeles drafted LB Junior Colson in the third round and snagged WR Cornelius Johnson in the seventh round.

Colson got hurt in his first OTA practice and the team just got an update on him.

Chargers Just Got an Update on Junior Colson

According to Daniel Popper of the Athletic, Colson was working off to the side after he left the first OTA practice on May 20.

The severity of the injury has not been revealed but it doesn't sound too serious. Colson is one of the most athletic and instinctive defenders at the second level. He was quick to react and wrapped up well.

In three seasons with the Wolverines, he recorded 256 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks.

It's a good sign that he's doing some work off to the side just a week after the injury happened. Even if he can't take the field in OTAs, there is a good chance that he'll be on the field by the time training camp rolls around in August.

Those are the valuable reps that he needs as he prepares for his first NFL season.
