The 2024 regular season is rapidly approaching and the excitement just continues to rise. The Los Angeles Chargers have done a lot of reshuffling this offseason and head coach Jim Harbaugh was the biggest addition.

Harbaugh is tasked with rebuilding this squad but he has his hands full. Training camp is finally over and cutdown day just took place on Aug. 27.

There were a bunch of players who then hit the open market and Harbaugh's former guy will be coming with him to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles News: Chargers Claim Hassan Haskins

On Tuesday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Los Angeles Chargers have claimed running back Hassan Haskins off waivers.

Haskins was drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, where he has compiled 23 carries for 93 yards. Last season, Haskins missed the year when he was injured reserve. During this past preseason, he's logged 23 rushes for 71 yards.

Tennessee let him go on Tuesday but he's now reunited with his former coach. The 24-year-old played for Harbaugh at the University of Michigan from 2018-2021. In his three-year tenure as a Wolverine, Haskins had 270 carries for 2,324 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns.

In 2021, he finished with 1,327 rushing yards, and 20 touchdowns, notching an Second-Team All-American nod.

Now he has a chance to suit up for Harbaugh in the pros and make his presence felt. There is some familiarity between the two so it makes this pairing easier.

The ball is in the court of the Missouri native to officially reunite with his former college coach.
