The Los Angeles Chargers are 2-2 after the first quarter of the season. They are heading into their bye in Week 5, giving them time to rest.

That is very much needed at this time, as Justin Herbert, Joe Alt, and Rashawn Slater are dealing with injuries.

In Week 6, they'll look to snap that two-game skid, but they'll need more from their passing attack. After four games, the Chargers are 31st in the NFL in passing offense (136) and they'll have to get more from that unit.

With trade speculation happening around the league, the Chargers could have a chance to reunite with a former pass-catcher.

NFL News: Mike Williams Could Be on the Move

Las Vegas Raiders receiver Devante Adams has requested a trade and is expected to be on the move.

The New York Jets are frontrunners to land Adams, and if they do, Mike Williams is someone who could be on the move according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.

"Should the Jets land Adams, there are teams around the league who would then be interested in one of their receivers. Sources believe the most likely candidate to be traded from the Jets would be Mike Williams, the 30-year-old receiver on a one-year deal who appears to be rounding into form following ACL surgery last year."

Williams signed with the Jets on a one-year, $10 million in March after the Chargers released him. If the Jets indeed acquire Adams, Williams' days in New York could be numbered.

The Jets would have Adams, Garrett Wilson, and Allen Lazard, two of whom have a history with Aaron Rodgers.

If Williams is available, the Chargers should call in and look to reunite with him. The Clemson product is a physical, vertical threat in the passing game. He also has a rapport with Herbert and would provide the Chargers with a reliable playmaker.

Over seven seasons with Los Angeles, Williams had 309 receptions for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns.

He would immediately become WR1 over there and help improve a stagnant aerial attack.
