The regular season is just three weeks away and teams are going full speed in training camp. These practices and reps go a long way when the season comes around.

This is where the foundation of your upcoming season is built. The Los Angeles Rams are looking to have a better season than they did in 2023. Last season, the Rams went 10-7 but were sent packing in the first round by the Detroit Lions.

Now all the focus is on this fall but the Rams just got some concerning news regarding quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Rams News: Matthew Stafford Leaves Wednesday’s Practice Against Dallas Cowboys

The Rams were having a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday. Unfortunately, Stafford was experiencing some hamstring tightness and wasn't able to finish the practice according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop.

Backups Jimmy Garoppolo and Stetson Bennett took the remaining reps as Stafford watched from the sidelines.

Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur added that Stafford values every rep but he wasn't able to push through.

"But we know that every rep is going to be valuable for him, no matter how many plays he's had. Unfortunately, he had some tightness.""

This is definitely something to monitor. Hamstring injuries tend to drag on without the proper rest. He will need to give his hamstring time to heal so it doesn't fare up during the campaign.

Over the last two years in Los Angeles, Stafford has dealt with ankle, toe, and elbow injuries that forced him to miss some action.

Hopefully, this hamstring injury doesn't drag on and these next few weeks allow him to get back to 100%. The Rams will need him in 2024 if they want to make a serious push.
