The Los Angeles Chargers are continuing their organized team activities this week as they prepare for the next season with their new head coach Jim Harbaugh. There are plenty of new faces on the roster and the coaching staff, so these practices carry even greater importance for the Bolts.

The most important additions to the roster for the Chargers came via the 2024 NFL Draft. General manager Joe Hortiz used the first two draft picks on the offensive side of the ball, selecting tackle Joe Alt out of Notre Dame and wide receiver Ladd McConkey out of Georgia. These selections received mixed reviews from Chargers fans but their third-round selection Junior Colson was considered one of the potential steals of the draft.

The linebacker out of Michigan is very familiar with Harbaugh and new defensive coordinator Jesse Minter from his Wolverines day. Unfortunately, however, his time on the field during OTAs was cut short earlier this week. According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Colson walked off the field on Monday and didn't finish practice.

Still No Injury Update on Chargers Rookie Junior Colson

On the surface, this doesn't seem too concerning. However, over the past 48 hours since then, there hasn't been an update about the situation. There have been no reports about his status and he hasn't been seen in any of the team photos since then.

This might not be anything or it could hamper Colson's preseason and training camp schedule. The more concerning thing is the fact that the team is not disclosing any details about his injury. Hopefully, that doesn't become a trend going forward, and we hear a positive update about the promising defender.
