Jim Harbaugh Suddenly Could Reunite With Former Player After Surprise Release
The Los Angeles Chargers have undergone such a change this offseason. It started in January when they parted ways with Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco in favor of Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz.
They continued to overturn this roster as Harbaugh looked to put his imprint on this team. Los Angeles inked free agents Hayden Hurst, Will Dissly, Bradley Bozeman, J.K Dobbins, and DJ Chark.
During the 2024 NFL Draft, they added nine players, including two players from the University of Michigan (Junior Colson and Cornelius Johnson). The latest news just gave Harbaugh another opportunity to reunite with a former player.
Andrew Stueber Was Released By the New England Patriots
Mike Reiss of ESPN stated that Andrew Stueber was fighting for a backup spot this year but was surprisingly let go by the New England Patriots on June 3.
Stueber was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He spent his entire rookie season on the non-football injury list with a torn hamstring. Stueber then spent the 2023 season on the practice squad.
The 24-year-old suited up under Harbaugh with Wolverines from 2017-2022, notching 22 career starts at right tackle and right guard.
He's able to stay light on his feet while showing good patience as a pass blocker.
Harbaugh and company now have the chance to add Stueber to the group and allow him the opportunity to compete for a backup role.
The Chargers have already added players that will bring physicality to the squad and Stueber could be the latest addition to help bolster the trenches.
