Even though Bronny James was the 55th-overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, he has been the most talked about player in the Summer League this summer. He receives more attention and scrutiny than any lottery pick or high-level NBA prospect. His slow start to the summer where he missed his first 15 three-point attempts didn't help his case.

On Wednesday night, Bronny played the best game of the summer, finishing with 12 points on 2/5 from downtown as the Lakers won their first Summer League game. The way James didn't lose confidence and kept shooting certainly deserves praise and his teammates were there to give him credit.

Colin Castleton, who is on the Lakers on a two-way deal and has been playing with Bronny in the Summer League, had nothing but positive things to say about his teammate.

"I think he's stepping into a good role. It takes a little bit of time. He has a lot of pressure, a lot of things on him. So he has a great mindset. He's a great kid, great teammate, and we love being around him. Everybody in the organization loves being around him and he took great shots tonight and just got a good rhythm. "

Highlighting the amount of pressure Bronny faces, Castleton says he has the right mindset and attitude. James has impressed the 24-year-old big man with his approach to the game, taking the right shots, and playing the right way.

That is the most important thing for Bronny James as he is trying to establish his professional career. It's safe to say that he is never going to become a star like his father. He needs to carve his own path. Playing the right way, being a good teammate, and knowing your role goes a long way in determining your success as a role player in the NBA. It looks like Bronny is on the right track in doing that.
