The Los Angeles Lakers are entering the offseason with a list of things that need to be answered. There were a bunch of smokescreens that the Lakers were zeroing in on JJ Redick to become the next head coach but the latest reports revealed that Los Angeles has a lot of interest in Dan Hurley.

That's the biggest question that needs to be answered but the Lakers are also looking to improve the roster ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. With LeBron James turning 40 years old in December, the Lakers are going to build this team around Anthony Davis.

With that in mind, Los Angeles is bringing in a two-time Player of the Year for a visit.

Lakers News: Zach Edey Is Coming In For A Visit

According to ESPN's Jonathan Givony, the Los Angeles Lakers are bringing in Purdue's Zach Edey for a pre-draft visit. His draft range appears to be between 9-19, meaning he may be on the board when the Lakers are on the clock at No. 17 overall.

It's been reported multiple times that Davis prefers to play the 4 instead of the 5. He even told the organization he wanted more help at center so he would have less wear and tear on his body.

The addition of Edey would certainly fulfill that need. Edey (7'4") is a massive presence in the paint who sets hard screens and uses his length to be a disruptive rim defender. He has a soft touch around the rim but dominates on the glass. Over the last two years, he averaged 23.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.

Edey wouldn't excel defending out on the perimeter but he would have the ability to roam around the rim due to Davis' athletic ability. The nine-time All-Star has the talent to be effective all over the floor and wouldn't have the wear and tear of playing center if Edey was added to the mix.

When the Lakers won the championship in 2020, they had a big-man rotation of Davis, Dwight Howard, and JaVale McGee. They may need to return to that process and Edey could be an enticing option.
