The Los Angeles Lakers spent the entire offseason frustrating their fans by not doing anything. General manager Rob Pelinka and the front office have been twiddling their thumbs while all the impactful free agents signed elsewhere and the trade market dried up. Now, the Lakers are likely bringing back the same team that lost in the first round of the playoffs for another run.

However, there are still minor moves being made. The Lakers are trying to find value on the margins even though they have all of their 15 roster spots currently filled. Nevertheless, they signed center Kylor Kelley and guard Quincy Olivari to Exhibit 10 contracts for a chance to taking a closer look at them.

Lakers Sign Kylor Kelley & Quincy Olivari

An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year, minimum deal that isn't guaranteed. This type of contract allows players to compete for a roster spot on an NBA team or its G League affiliate. Kelley and Olivari will spend training camp and preseason with the team to make a case for their inclusion on the big roster.

Olivari is a five-year college player who just finished his final season with Xavier. There, he started all 34 games and averaged 19.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game on 42.5% from the field, and an impressive 40.9% from three. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, he is undersized and has to keep making threes at this elite 40% clip to have a career in the NBA.

Kelley is a seven-footer who has spent the last few seasons in the G League, most recently with the Maine Celtics. Last season, he was the league's block leader and made the All-Defensive team. At age 26, he doesn't have the highest upside but he can potentially replace Christian Wood or Jaxson Hayes in the 15-man roster if he manages to impress in training camp.
