The Los Angeles Lakers have a dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis that has won at the highest level together.

Even though they last won in 2020, they are still capable of leading the team to another title. Now it's all about building a championship-caliber roster around these two men. The Lakers added an impact weapon in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft and have one more pick in round two.

Once this gets wrapped up, all attention will pivot to the trade market and free agency that starts on June 30th.

The Lakers need more quality role players and the perfect center just hit on the trade market.

Lakers Rumors: An Athletic Big Man Is Expected To Be Put on the Trade Block

Matt Moore of Action Network dropped an article on what he's heard over the last few weeks from teams around the league.

He revealed that the Portland Trail Blazers are going to shop Robert Williams.

"Portland is expected to field offers for Robert Williams, despite his injury history, and Ayton, despite his, well, Ayton history. Grant is thought to be available but the price is high; Portland is not actively trying to move his contract."

After only playing in six games last season, Williams missed the rest of the year after undergoing surgery to reconstruct a torn ligament after he suffered a patellar dislocation.

When healthy, Williams is an athletic force in the frontcourt with an insane wingspan and leaping ability. The Texas A&M product has been a solid rim protector and finishes with power above the rim.

In his career, Williams averages 7.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and shoots 72% from the field.

In addition, he has two years left on a four-year, $48 million deal. Williams would be the perfect addition to the frontcourt next to Davis. Los Angeles would be smart to check in on the 26-year-old and gauge his trade value.
