Lakers fans are growing more frustrated with each passing day. While their Western Conference rivals are making moves to strengthen their roster for next season, the Lakers have largely stood pat, bringing back the same group from last season. With free agent targets quickly signing elsewhere, Los Angeles has to shift their focus to the trade market.

One of the names that is consistently linked to LA is former Laker Kyle Kuzma. Now a Washington Wizard, the 28-year-old combo forward is rumored to be a Lakers trade target. He only added to these speculations with a cryptic tweet on Monday evening.

Lakers Trade Target Kyle Kuzma Shares Cryptic LA Post

Suggesting that he is currently in Los Angeles, Kuzma added more fuel to the fire. Considering that he is not a free agent, his being in LA doesn't actually mean much. The decision has to be made between the Wizards and the Lakers front offices.

What the post clearly means, however, is the fact that Kuzma has an affinity for Los Angeles and would be happy to come back. It was reported at the trade deadline that he turned down a trade proposal that would have sent him to the Dallas Mavericks. It's highly unlikely that he would do the same for the Lakers.

Kuzma has already won a title alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He knows the organization, the front office, and his teammates. Plus, he has only improved his game since then, establishing himself as a solid, two-way starter at forward.

The Wizards would likely ask for one first-round pick plus matching salary in a potential trade for Kuzma. Considering the lack of players who can play on both ends of the floor in Los Angeles, Kuzma would be worth that asset cost for the Lakers.
