LeBron Posts Cryptic Tweet that Can Only Mean One thing
By Cem Yolbulan
It's that time of the year. The rumor mill is working overtime ahead of the trade deadline as teams gear up to make a run in the second half of the season. Every day, there is new fuel added to the fire about what teams might do.
LeBron James is no stranger to adding more fuel to the fire.
That is exactly what he did with his cryptic late-night social media post after the Los Angeles Lakers' loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
Lakers News: LeBron James Posts Cryptic Tweet
Obviously, an hourglass emoji could mean a lot of things. It might not even be about the Lakers.
Yet, we all know that LeBron James is a calculated man. He doesn't say or post things for the sake of putting it out there. He usually knows what he is doing as he is used to every single step of his being over-analyzed for over two decades now.
Some have pondered the possibility that this could signal potential trade deadline moves. Others saw it as the clock ticking for Lakers head coach Darvin Ham.
Would LeBron post something that could be interpreted as he is the one calling shots regarding the coach or personnel changes? Seems unlikely. But it's certainly possible that he posted this to put pressure on the front office to do something.
Maybe it just means that he is fed up. The time is running out for Los Angeles to get things right. The Lakers are 24-25 and sit in ninth place in the Western Conference. And unless things change, it's very difficult to see them repeating their Western Conference Finals appearance this season.
The Lakers currently have the eighth-best odds in the Western Conference to make the NBA Finals with +2100. If you want to take advantage of this, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook, and don't forget to claim your sign-up bonus of $200 when you deposit at least $10 and make a winning bet of $5.
