LeBron James is a horrible leader and doesn't care about basketball. It's been totally confirmed, even by LeBron himself. Just watch this clip. It's not a deepfake. It's LeBron himself.

Finally, proof and vindication for all the LeBron haters!

Of course, maybe a six-second clip on Twitter doesn't really capture what LeBron said. Maybe James, who has dedicated his life to having longevity in basketball that we've truly never seen before, actually does care? Maybe it's worth seeking out the full quote before bashing him?

Read for yourself just how out of context that video clip is:

Oh wow, who could have guessed that his answer to the question actually conveyed the exact opposite message that the short out-of-context clip suggested?

Obviously anyone who assumed that clip told the whole story is either just a rabid LeBron hater or has never heard his typical interview answers. But really, if you're going to jump the gun and assume that a guy who has been in the NBA for half of his entire life and is still averaging 26.3 points, 9.7 assists, 6.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks in 40.3 minutes per game in the postseason doesn't care? I don't even think that's someone worth having a conversation about basketball with. They're not serious.

The best hypocrisy of it all, of course, is that on the other side of this matchup is Nikola Jokic. A guy who's entire off-court brand is "I don't care about basketball that much." And people love him for it.

Lakers fans and LeBron fans alike are used to this kind of double-standard now. At least we can take some solace in the fact that 20 years down the line all of these people will be quick to reminisce about how they got to watch an all-time great, and how players these days will never be as good as LeBron.
