New Chargers Cornerback Throws Shade At Former Squad

LA could soon become a hot spot for coveted free agents if more players share the opinions of newly-signed CB Kristian Fulton.

Chargers fans are used to hearing about how bad their coaching staff is, but it seems like things are FINALLY changing for the better.

Newly acquired cornerback Kristian Fulton had nothing but praise for LA’s coaching staff – especially when comparing them to his old mentors in Tennessee.

"I don't think I was put in the best position, but I mean, that's just where I was drafted, so I didn't have no say so in that."

“It’s been great,” Fulton said at his media availability earlier this week. “I feel like everybody is really on the same page here so they’ve made it easy for everyone with a fresh start here so they can come in and really make it a smooth transition.”

Chargers Coaching Staff Could Attract More Talent

If more players like Fulton continue to have good things to say about new head coach Jim Harbaugh and Co. it could be a boon for LA in free agency.

The Chargers have already brought in a solid 2024 free agency class, including Fulton, DJ Chark Jr., J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Denzel Perryman, Bradley Bozeman, Troy Dye, Poona Ford, Hayden Hurst, and Will Dissly.

Of course, the team’s success this season will play a huge role in LA’s ability to add quality talent going forward.

But it’s encouraging to hear new players like Fulton already having good things to say.

“I think what attracted me, obviously I think the coaching staff is excellent,” Fulton told reporters. “I think they have all the pieces to be a successful team as far as [Jim] Harbaugh, [Jesse] Minter. I felt really comfortable with the schemes that they were going to bring in.

"I felt like it was just a great opportunity just to get a fresh start. I wanted to go somewhere where the coaches have the same mindset to win. That’s all I’ve been around, so that’s pretty much what led me here."

Harbaugh’s time in LA is only just getting started, and this is pretty much the best-case scenario for his first offseason.

And Fulton isn't the only new signing with good things to say about the new identity of the Chargers.

"I know they want to play high-caliber, winning football here, and that's exactly what I want to do," Bozeman told reporters of why he signed with LA earlier this month. "I want to win football games, I want to play to the best of my ability, and I want to put some great things on tape."
