Training camp is heating up for the Los Angeles Rams with preseason play right around the corner. Ahead of the team's first warmup tilt, LA faced off in a joint practice against the neighbor Chargers on Sunday.
Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned in any way for Sean McVay's squad. Not only did the team struggles with turnovers, but star wide receiver Puka Nacua left the session with a potential injury and was seen with a bag of ice on his knee.
While it was unclear when, exactly, the Pro Bowler got hurt, new video may have captured the moment.
Decent chance this is the play Puka Nacua got injured on.

Looks like it could be a right PCL sprain or patella bone bruise if it’s strictly impact related with the ground.
Seems minor. He jogged off after.

Injury analyst Jeff Mueller gave his take on the play, which involves Nacua going up for a pass against a Chargers defensive back and landing on his right knee. In Mueller's opinion, it may be a sprain or simple bone bruise if the ailment was only caused by the collision with the ground. Mueller also said he think it's a "minor" issue that Nacua shouldn't have to worry about.
Hopefully Mueller is right and this isn't anything that threatens Nacua's health. That being said, this is all an outsider's opinion from video alone. There's no way to be sure about this without LA's confirmation.
McVay himself didn't even to know a ton about Nacua's situation when asked after practice, which doesn't help clarify things at the moment. Los Angeles is also off on Monday, so a Nacua update may not come until Tuesday.
Puka Nacua left practice a little over an an hour into it after a team drills period, and did not return to play but stayed in uniform and helmet on sideline. He had a bag of ice wrapped around his right knee.

Sean McVay says he is “not sure” what happened.
Perhaps a session off after an intense joint practice will help the young wideout get right. The electric playmaker being healthy is even more critical for this offense with injuries plaguing the line ahead of the first preseason matchup.
