The Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another deflating loss at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. Now it has been 11 straight losses for the Lakers dating back to the 2023 Western Conference Finals.

Game 3 of the series followed the same script as the first two games. The Lakers jumped out to an early lead, bringing the energy and intensity to build a double-digit cushion. Then, the Denver Nuggets hit the gas pedal in the second half and make the comeback everyone knows is coming. And for the first time in these playoffs, the Lakers looked demoralized as Denver executed their way into another comfortable win in the fourth quarter.

At this point, LeBron James & Co. are playing for their pride. No team has ever won a playoff series from a 3-0 deficit in NBA history and the Lakers are not going to be the first to do so against the reigning champs. However, James will still want to put up a fight at Staples Center to avoid a second-straight sweep against the Nuggets. Will he finally get a win?

Nuggets vs. Lakers Game 4 Best Bet and Prediction

The Nuggets are slightly favored (-158) in Game 4. The Lakers are 3-point underdogs at home, making this a difficult pick to make.

If we remember last season, LeBron James was in a similar situation with the Lakers entering Game 4 at home against the Nuggets down 3-0. Then he put together the best performance of the postseason, finishing with 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists on 15/25 shooting from the field. It wasn't enough at the end as the Lakers fell 113-111, but James didn't go quietly into the night.

He will likely put up a big fight on Saturday night as he always summons enough energy in must-win situations.

At this stage of his career, it may not be enough to will his team to victory, but he will certainly try. Expect a big game from him once again with over 26.5 points (-115) looking like a solid pick.

The Lakers should also continue the trend of winning the first half. (+115) What will happen in the second half is another question but there is no reason to think that Los Angeles will not come out strong once again to finally get one over the Nuggets.
