It's been a shaky offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers this summer. After getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs last season, Rob Pelinka failed to make any meaningful acquisitions.

The Lakers' only major additions were Bronny James and Dalton Knecht in the 2024 NBA Draft. That isn't nearly enough as they are looking to build a championship contender around the star duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

The 2024 Paris Olympics just wrapped up, with Team USA taking home the gold in both men's and women's.

Davis and James were some of the top players on that team but management has failed to build a competent team around these two.

Luckily for them, a solid contributor from the Olympics is looking to return to the NBA.

NBA News: Guerschon Yabusele Has Eyes Set on NBA Return

Forward Guerschon Yabusele played on France's national team and was a constant contributor. After averaging 14 points, 3.3 rebounds, and shooting 51% from the field, Yabusele is eager for his next opportunity in the NBA. He went on X and expressed his desire for a second chance.

Yabusele was selected with the 16th overall pick by the Boston Celtics back in the 2016 NBA Draft. After two underwhelming seasons in Boston, he decided to head overseas. The 28-year-old has played for Real Madrid for the past three years and has one year left on his deal.

An NBA buyout for his Real Madrid contract would be $2.5 million but he's the kind of player the Lakers could use.

Yabusele stands at 6-foot-8 and excels in transition. He has soft hands and can finish through contact.

That was evident in the Gold Medal Game when *look away Laker fans* he dunked on LeBron James.

The Lakers would be smart to add a player like Yabusele to raise the floor of the team. Los Angeles has been awfully quiet but this is someone they should check in on.
