The Los Angeles Chargers have had an offseason that is filled with change. Head coach Jim Harbaugh has taken control of the squad but made some roster moves that certainly didn't make the fans happy.

This offseason they decided to trade Keenan Allen and released Mike Williams. That left plenty to be desired in the wide receiver room.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, they took Ladd McConkey and Brenden Rice to help soften the blow but they could still use an upgrade in the room.

Luckily for them, the perfect wide receiver target is rumored to be available.

NFL News: Jahan Dotson May Be on the Move

The Washington Commanders hired Dan Quinn to be the head coach this offseason. When speaking with reporters this week, he said that the team was in the thick of their WR2 search. Quinn said multiple players are competing for that spot, naming Dotson but he highlighted Olamide Zaccheaus as a player who had a good training camp.

Those comments didn't seem to faze Dotson, as he gave some glaring comments in an article written by Sam Fortier of the Washington Post.

"DQ didn’t draft me. Each and every year … in your profession, you got to prove yourself. You got to prove what you’re worth and what you’re capable of doing. That’s what I’m trying to do."

Jahan Dotson

These comments make it seem like Dotson knows his position on the roster isn't locked. He would be an ideal trade target for the Chargers.

In 29 games with the Commanders, Dotson reeled in 84 receptions for 1,041 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

Adding a playmaker like this to the Chargers would be a massive boost for the 2024 campaign and would make Justin Herbert's life much easier. Dotson would be able to stretch the field and provide the Chargers with a solid pass catcher.
