The NFL regular season is on the brink of officially getting started. After going through a tough training camp and preseason slate, all the focus for the Los Angeles Rams is now on the opener against the Detroit Lions.

The Week 1 showdown is a rematch of the Wild Card affair during the 2023 playoffs between these teams, where the Lions came out with a 24-23 victory.

The Rams are looking to get some revenge and they got some good news regarding wide receiver Puka Nucua.

Rams News: Puka Nucua Is Back at Practice

Per Adam Grosband of O.C. Register, Nucua is back and moving around at practice following their final preseason matchup.

Nucua has been sidelined for the past few weeks after he suffered a knee injury during a joint practice against the Los Angeles Chargers this month. His injury was described as "nothing serious, nothing structural".

Although that could have been perceived as positive talk from the organization, this is a step in the right direction.

Nucua came into the league in 2023 as a rookie and took the league by storm. Last season, he ranked ninth in the league in receptions (105) and fourth in receiving yards (1,486) with six touchdowns.

The Rams' offense is a different beast with the BYU product on the field so getting him back on the practice field is the first step to getting back into action.

Last season he suited up in all 17 games for the Rams and they are hoping for the same kind of injury luck as they try to become Super Bowl contenders again in 2024.
