Rams fans are well aware that Matthew Stafford’s time as QB1 is running thin.

Everyone can probably agree that Stetson Bennett and Dresser Winn aren’t the answer, which means there’s a good chance that LA will draft its quarterback of the future next year.

ESPN has named who that could be.

ESPN Predicts Rams Draft Conner Weigman With 2025 First-Round Pick

You might want to watch college football this fall, especially Texas A&M.

Conner Weigman was the starting quarterback for the Aggies last season, but had a season-ending foot injury in Week 4.

Texas A&M went 3-1 in the four games he played in as he threw for 979 yards, completing 68.9% of his passes with 8 TDs and 2 INTs, along with a pair of rushing scores.

Weigman is expected to be the starter this fall as he works his way back from injury, and there’s a lot to like.

"Weigman started just four games for A&M last year before a season-ending foot injury, but he flashed with eight touchdowns through the air and two more on the ground. He is more of a projection at this stage, but the talent is there for him to push into the Round 1 conversation -- and potentially be L.A.'s quarterback of the future."

Matt Miller, ESPN

Of course, it might not be Weigman who LA drafts, but it’s very likely they draft someone who plays quarterback.

Stafford is 36-years-old and has a ton of mileage on him.

In the past two seasons alone he has: sprained his toe, dealt with elbow tendinitis, suffered a concussion, bruised his spinal cord, sprained his thumb, and strained his hip.

His play has nonetheless been impressive. He threw for nearly 4,000 yards last season, completing 62.6% of his passes with 24 TDs and 11 INTs.

Other QBs Miller has predicted to be drafted in the first round include: Carson Beck (No. 1), Shedeur Sanders (No. 2), Quinn Ewers (No. 10) and Riley Leonard (No. 20).
