Russell Westbrook Throws Shade at Kawhi Leonard on Social Media

The Los Angeles Clippers are going through an eventful offseason. They lost Paul George in free agency but chose to bring back James Harden while signing Derrick Jones Jr. and Nicolas Batum. The offseason is far from over but the Clippers don't look anywhere near championship contention.
Paul George's departure naturally raised some eyebrows around the NBA. What the plan is and where they are going are understandably being asked.
Kendrick Perkins was the latest talking head to chime in on NBA Today. He suggested that the Clippers should consider trading Kawhi Leonard.
That is an understandable reaction to Clippers offseason. Kawhi hasn't been healthy and available in recent Clippers postseasons and it would make sense for the front office to see what they can get from him instead of paying him over $150 million for the next three seasons.
What is not understandable, however, was his teammate Russell Westbrook's response on social media. Westbrook liked ESPN's post about Kendrick Perkins' comments on Instagram, opening the way for all kinds of speculation.
Westbrook has opted into his player option worth $4 million for next season. The 35-year-old guard has been regularly mentioned in trade discussions, especially as a Denver Nuggets target.
This social media activity perhaps suggests that the ties between the Clippers and Westbrook can't be salvaged.
After 1.5 disappointing seasons with the Lakers, Westbrook managed to rehab his career with the Clippers. He found an ideal role for himself as a sixth man, averaging 11.1 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 22.5 minutes per game in 68 appearances. He is a solid bench player with a team-friendly contract and the Clippers should try to keep him around but that doesn't seem likely after his Kawhi Leonard shade.
