The Los Angeles Clippers are fighting in the first round against the Dallas Mavericks. Forward Kawhi Leonard is once again dealing with a knee injury and Paul George is taking on a larger burden.

While the Clippers are battling to advance to the semifinal round, people are already looking towards the offseason and George's name has come up.

The nine-time All-Star is likely going to be a free agent after the season and a surprise suitor has emerged.

Clippers Rumors: Orlando Magic Will Be Interested In Paul George During Free Agency

Per Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the Orlando Magic will have an interest in George's services in free agency. George has a $48.7 million player option for 2024-2025, which he'll likely opt out of.

She said, "There's two teams that are paying very close attention to Paul George: the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers, because both of them have the money to throw at him and have a need for a wing just like him, a veteran guy."

The Magic being linked to George this early is a bit shocking. Orlando nabbed the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and matched up with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round. They are currently led by Paolo Banchero but have their eyes set on adding George to the frontcourt.

In the 2023-24 season, the 33-year-old played in 74 games, averaging 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. He still plays superb defense and impacts the game on both ends of the floor.

George has been in Los Angeles since 2019 but they haven't done damage in the postseason. If the Clippers don't make some serious noise over the next few weeks, George could seriously consider signing elsewhere.
