Not only did the Los Angeles Rams see their season end on Sunday night in a heartbreaking loss to the Detroit Lions, but they also continue to receive bad news that might impact their next season.

Veteran tight end Tyler Higbee took a low hit by Lions safety Kerby Joseph late in the fourth quarter. The controversial hit saw Higbee exit the game with an apparent knee injury. The diagnosis came on Wednesday and it is as bad as the Rams fans had feared.

Rams News: Tyler Higbee To Have Season-Ending Surgery

In his press conference, head coach Sean McVay provided the latest updates on his players' injuries.

Confirming the previous reports that Higbee has a torn ACL and MCL, McVay said he doesn't have a timeline for his return. But he mentioned that the 31-year-old tight end is likely going to be placed on the PUP list for the next season after he has surgery to repair the damage on his knees.

This is a major blow for the Rams as Higbee has been a consistent and productive fixture on the team for the last eight seasons. Now, Los Angeles will have to prioritize acquiring another tight end or hope that Davis Allen can take a significant step forward next season.
