The Los Angeles Rams are in the midst of reshaping some of the finer points on their roster as they await further news on a Cooper Kupp trade. They've already shipped off Jonah Jackson and while they're bringing Matthew Stafford back, the team won't be the same around him.

That said, the organization has done an excellent job of finding and developing talent in the draft, scoring Puka Nacua, Jared Verse, Brandon Fiske, and others.

They'll need to continue building up young players, especially in the trenches, and just made the decision to bring back a promising recent draft pick for the 2025 season.

Rams Tender Exclusive Rights Free Agent Dylan McMahon

As announced by the team themselves, the Rams tendered exclusive rights free agent Dylan McMahon. A center who was taken in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, McMahon appeared in only one game during his rookie campaign but serves as key depth in the middle of the line behind Beaux Limmer.

An exclusive rights free agent is someone with less than three seasons accrued and an expired contract. If an organization offers a one-year deal at league minimum, which the Rams did here, that player can no longer negotiate with other teams.

While McMahon is inexperienced, Los Angeles is known for its ability to identify diamonds in the rough. Originally a standout at North Carolina State, the six-foot-three, 298-pound center is athletic with excellent agility. He was a four-year starter in college, earning the trust of his coaching staff quickly despite being an unheralded recruit.

McMahon seems to have done the same in Los Angeles, and now he'll spend the summer working to push for a starting role. Limmer is only entering his second season as well, so perhaps McMahon can challenge him next year.

We'll see what happens, though hopefully, McMahon can become another example of the Rams seeing value where few others did.
