The start of the Los Angeles Rams' 2025 offseason has been a wild ride, to say the least. Not only might quarterback Matthew Stafford be on his way out of town, but the Rams have also made it clear that they're attempting to trade wideout Cooper Kupp in the coming months.

While losing either player would be a blow to the Rams' offense, fans would likelier be sad to see Kupp leave. The 31-year-old playmaker has been a key cog in Los Angeles' attack since he was drafted 69th overall in 2017 and while his play might be on the decline, he still recorded 67 receptions for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season.

Although it's hard to imagine the offense with Kupp, it appears as if the Rams will have a great chance to replace him this offseason.

Rams Rumors: Will Davante Adams Replace Cooper Kupp?

Former All-Pro WR Davante Adams is one player who many people have an eye on this offseason. After a failed 2024 reunion with Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets could be looking to release the six-time 1,000-yard receiver this offseason.

If that's the case, the Rams could be one of Adams' top destinations.

"A source told me Adams is intrigued by a return to the West Coast and would be open to potentially joining teams such as the Rams or Chargers," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote on Saturday, adding that the former Fresno State Bulldog was born and raised in Northern California.

Adams has made it abundantly clear throughout his NFL career that playing near his Californian family is important to him. That mindset also played a big role in his being traded to the Las Vegas Raiders nearly three years ago.

“(Playing near family) really matters to me. That’s stuff that really does weigh on my mind when there’s a decision to be made," Adams told the Las Vegas Sun back in March 2022.

While trading away Kupp would sting, replacing him with Adams would soften the blow.

The six-time Pro Bowler has been one of the NFL's best playmakers for more than a decade, ranking second in receptions (957) and touchdown catches (103) — as well as fourth in receiving yards (11,844) — since debuting with the Green Bay Packers in 2014. That includes recording 1,063 yards and eight TDs in a 2024 campaign that was split between the Raiders and Jets.

Regardless of who's starting under center next season, it's easy to love the idea of Adams on the Rams. His presence alone could shift a lot of coverage away from Puka Nacua, potentially giving L.A. one of the most threatening WR tandems in the NFL.

Additionally, Adams' potential arrival would likely have a positive impact on the franchise's championship outlook. For now, the Rams will enter the rest of February with the 12th-best Super Bowl 60 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
