The Los Angeles Rams have arguably been dealing with more injuries to key starters than any other team in the NFL, especially on the offensive end. One of those players was Cooper Kupp who suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams had placed him on the injured reserve list.

Coming off the bye week, the Rams finally received a positive update from their All-Pro receiver. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the star pass-catcher had a positive workout on Monday and could potentially return to action in Week 7 against the Raiders.

NFL News: Cooper Kupp Making Good Progress for Week 7 Return

Kupp's 2021 season remains one of the best seasons by a wide receiver in NFL history. He put up 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 478 yards and six touchdowns in the postseason to win the Super Bowl MVP.

Things haven't looked as bright for Kupp since then, having missed 13 games in the last two seasons and coming short of replicating that production. However, with Puka Nacua also sidelined with an injury, the Rams desperately need Kupp to return and be a reliable weapon for Matthew Stafford.

The Rams have an excellent chance of getting back on track in the following weeks. In the next five weeks, they play the Raiders, Vikings, Seahawks, Dolphins and the Patriots. They have the opportunity to go 4-1 in that span and improve to .500 heading into the final stretch of the season.

Kupp's potential return for Week 7 is certainly a sign in the right direction.
