The Los Angeles Rams have had an eventful offseason thus far. There were concerns about whether Matthew Stafford would return, but both sides were able to find a middle ground.

They did have to release Cooper Kupp after failing to find a trade partner. Despite losing a Pro Bowl WR, they were able to bring in an All-Pro one. Davante Adams signed with the Rams on a two-year, $46 million deal, and forms a dynamic duo with Puka Nucua.

Nucua already gave up No. 17, clearing the runway for Adams to don that number in 2025.

They also re-signed Tutu Atwell, so their top three WRs are locked in. In the meantime, the Rams saw WR Tyler Johnson leave town.

According to Aaron Wilson, Johnson agreed to terms with the New York Jets early Saturday morning.

Tyler Johnson Signs With New York Jets

Johnson spent the last two seasons with the Rams after signing with them in May 2023. He didn't play much in 2023 but got an opportunity in 2024. Over 15 games (two starts) in 2024, Johnson had 26 receptions (41 targets) for 291 yards, one touchdown, and 10 catches for a first down.

Prior to landing with Los Angeles, Johnson had stops with the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by Tampa Bay.

In 31 games with the Bucs, Johnson notched 48 grabs for 529 yards, two touchdowns, and 11 yards per reception.

Even though he hasn't been a game-breaking weapon at WR, he has shown the ability to be a productive weapon. He will get a chance to carve out a larger role with the New York Jets, who only have Garrett Wilson as a reliable weapon in that passing attack.

Ironically enough, Adams just played for the Jets in 2024, and it looks like these guys ended up swapping spots.
