Rams' O-Line Gets Even More Bad Injury News in Week 11
By Cem Yolbulan
Even though the Los Angeles Rams missed a huge opportunity on Monday after losing to the Miami Dolphins at home, they still have a good chance to win the NFC West. Sitting at 4-5 heading into the final stretch of the season, the Rams need to go on a winning streak to get back to the postseason for a second straight year.
Their Week 11 matchup against the New England Patriots is a great chance to build momentum. Unfortunately, however, the bad injury luck in one specific position complicates things for the Rams. The offensive line which has been a problem all season, will be missing several key starters once again, per head coach Sean McVay.
Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reported that Rob Havenstein is out and Joe Noteboom is doubtful to play against the Patriots.
Rams News: Rob Havenstein and Joe Noteboom Likely Out vs. Patriots
This will be the second straight absence for veteran Havenstein. In his tenth season with the team, the 32-year-old continues to be one of the most reliable and competent members of the offensive line.
Last week against the Dolphins, Noteboom filled in for Havenstein at right tackle. The 29-year-old offensive lineman had missed the previous eight weeks with an injury before making his return against Miami. Now that he is doubtful to play with an ankle injury, it will be the recent fifth-round pick out of Georgia, Warren McClendon Jr. starting at right tackle.
The Rams are close to fully healthy on the offensive end and should still have an excellent shot against the 3-7 Patriots.
