The Los Angeles Rams won two in a row to save their season after a disastrous 1-4 start. With the NFC West not looking very competitive this year, the Rams still have a decent chance to go on a run in the second half of the season and win the division.

With that objective in mind, the Rams are expected to be active before the November 5th trade deadline. One of the moves expected by the front office is a trade involving veteran cornerback Tre'Davious White.

In fact, Rams head coach Sean McVay teased this potential deal on Monday, per team insider Jourdan Rodrigue. White and his agent were reportedly given permission to explore a trade.

White, who was signed to a one-year, $10 million deal in the offseason, played almost every snap for the Rams in the first four weeks of the season. Since then, however, he was demoted in favor of Darious Williams and Josh Wallace, not playing a single snap in the last three games.

The Rams' winning streak without White makes it that much more likely that he will be moved before the deadline.

The 29-year-old is no longer the elite defender he once was when he was with the Buffalo Bills. After earning back-to-back Pro Bowl honors in 2019 and 2020, White suffered an ACL tear followed by an Achilles tear, severely limiting his availability and sapping his athleticism.

The Rams, however, should still be able to get a late-round draft pick for him from a Super Bowl contender looking for more depth and veteran competence. Considering their recent injuries at the position and the trades they've already pulled off this year, maybe the Kansas City Chiefs come calling.
