The Los Angeles Rams' season is quickly reaching "do-or-die" status after falling to the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. It may well take 10 wins to make the playoffs in the NFC, and that doesn't leave much room for error for the 4-6 Rams.

Getting some injured players back into the fold does have things looking up for the team over the remainder of the season, but that also meant having to cut ties with someone to make space for the returns. The victim was offensive lineman Logan Bruss, who was waived on Monday.

Surprisingly, Bruss did not clear waivers to become a free agent. Instead, the Tennessee Titans decided to claim him after an ugly 2-7 start to the season. So what's the outlook for the former Ram now?

Bruss, who can only be considered a draft bust after being a 2022 third-round pick but only making three starts in his time with the team, will hope a change of scenery can help him out. Injuries derailed his Rams career, and if the Titans liked him enough to place a waiver claim, it's likely they think he has a real shot at contributing.

Some analysts don't like what they've seen, however. Bruss has played 195 snaps this season, earning an abysmal 44.8 grade from PFF. That includes an almost unfathomably low 7.2 pass blocking grade, which comes in part because of the 10 pressures he's allowed on just 115 pass blocking snaps.

The Titans have one of the worst-graded offensive lines in the NFL however (27th in pass blocking, 29th in run blocking on PFF), so maybe their desperation is Bruss' gain. The other interesting thing to keep in mind is the coaching Bruss will receive in Tennessee.,

New head coach Brian Callahan brought over his father, Bill Callahan, to serve as the offensive line coach in Tennessee. Bill Callahan is one of the more respected o-line coaches in the league, and he worked absolute magic with the Cleveland Browns' line from 2020 through 2023. If anyone can unlock Bruss' potential, it may well be Callahan.

With his horrific struggles in 2024, however, it was a complete no-brainer for the Rams to cut ties rather than wait around on Bruss potentially turning things around.
