Could The Dodgers Clinch The Second Seed In The National League?

Dodgers fans around the world are ready to watch the boys in blue in the playoffs.

As the Los Angeles Dodgers have won their third consecutive NL West Division title for another shot at the World Series.

Now, this is quite remarkable for the Dodgers for several reasons.

Especially since the Dodgers have never gone to the postseason three consecutive years in franchise history.

So for the Dodgers this should be a great accomplishment, but shouldn’t be everything this Dodgers team wants to accomplish.

Los Angeles still need to make it far in the month of October at a chance to win what would be the Dodgers’ sixth World Series.

The only thing we know at this time is that the Dodgers will be in the postseason.

We just don’t know if the Dodgers will have home field advantage going into the Divisional round, or maybe even the Championship round.

With only two games left in the season.

Both the Dodgers and Mets will face off as both teams try to get home field advantage for the NLDS.

The Dodgers and Mets will face off against division rivals at home in the final three-game series of the year.

The Dodgers opened their last three-game series for the season with a 6-2 win against the Padres last night, and will play the next two games today and tomorrow as they look to stay in the mix for home field advantage.

With both of their pitching aces listed to pitch for the last two games of the regular season.

Zack Greinke looks to give another stellar performance to showcase for his second CY Young award.

As Clayton Kershaw looks to get six strikeouts for 300 this year, and increase his league high 229-innings pitched.

Today the Mets played a double-header against the Nationals to make-up for a missed game that was postponed due to poor weather.

Which could go in the Dodgers favor, or maybe not even change anything.

The Mets also have listed that their top three-pitchers pitching in the next three games, as they seek to take home field advantage away from the Dodgers.

For both the Dodgers, and Mets, this last series should be no time to take it easy — rather to continue to compete, and contend for home field advantage.

As well as getting hot for the postseason, so they don’t go into the playoffs cold.

The Dodgers currently have a 1/2 game lead over the Mets for the second seed in the National League.

Which is too close to feel comfortable on.

I do believe the Dodgers will get the second seed in the National League, and will help them take the Mets series, and win the NLCS if they don’t play the Cardinals.

With the second seed in the National League, the Dodgers would have home field advantage in the NLDS, and could possible have it in the NLCS.

If the Cardinals would to lose in the NLDS to the wild card game winner.

The Dodgers and Mets will are more then certain face each other in the NLDS round for a 5-game series.

Which looks like an enticing playoff matchup.
