A burglary attempt at Chino Hills home of the Ball family happened.

The outspoken LaVar Ball, father to the two Chino Hills superstars as well as UCLA point guard Lonzo, is the home owner. TMZ reports a loud crash at 8pm PDT, while the family was playing in and attending the Southern California Divisional Open semifinal game.

TMZ says:

"Cops raced to the scene and when they got there, they saw a pile of Ball family belongings in the center of the home … as if they’d been rounded up."

There are no injuries being reported, and no belongings are missing. Apparently, the Ball family valuables were piled in the middle of the house, and the working theory is that the would-be thieves were scared and ran off without stealing anything.

LaVar Ball commended the Chino Hills neighborhood watch as well as the police in a report by ESPN.

Per the report:

"Chino Hills has got the best neighborhood watch in the world. As soon as you bust a window, they’re calling the police. That’s all they did, was break a window."

In addition to LiAngelo and LaMelo competing in the California state playoffs, Lonzo is set to lead the Bruins on a march through March. Lonzo is expected to be a top-three pick in the June NBA draft.

The Ball family is a very hot-button issue in the sports world recently, due to the outspoken – and sometimes outlandish – commentary by LaVar.

In addition to saying that Lonzo was better than Steph Curry, he challenged Michael Jordan to a game of one-on-one and wants a $1 billion shoe deal for all three brothers once they reach the professional ranks.
