6. 71. Final. 4. 2

The Dodgers are finding all sorts of ways to win baseball games right now.

It’s kind of ridiculous how good the Dodgers have been this season. Even though it’s unfortunate that they won’t be able to play with Clayton Kershaw for several weeks, that didn’t seem to slow them down in their latest game.

Bellinger gave them a lead that they wouldn’t relinquish in the eighth inning. His heroics, especially for being such a young player, have to be impressive to the organization. When he got the call up earlier this season, it was expected that his stay at the top wouldn’t be too long.

Instead, he hit his way into the lineup and is now a piece of the young core. There’s no turning back on him now, as he’s proven himself time and time again. From home runs to being clutch on the field, Bellinger has shown the Dodgers he can really do it all.

From helping them at first base, to spending time in the outfield. As long as he gets to play and give it all that he’s got, that’s all he seems to care for. So long as the Dodgers stay hot, they’ll be just fine without Kershaw.

While he is irreplaceable in many aspects of the game, he is just one player. And at the moment, the Dodgers are getting offense when it counts. Offense wins as much games for them right now as stellar, shutout type pitching would.

The most important thing still for the Dodgers moving forward is making sure that Kershaw is at full health when the postseason comes. Los Angeles has been playing historically well, especially in a stretch at one point where they had won 29 of 33 at one point.

Fans would love nothing more than to see their World Series drought end this season. Bellinger, along with last year’s ROY Corey Seager, will definitely be the difference in any playoff series match up.

Seager has developed nicely this season, with offense also coming off the bat of Justin Turner and Yasiel Puig at times.

The bottom line is that this team is connecting when they need to. And it’s enough to get them the win at the end of the day. That’s all that matters right now, and that’s okay.
