The biggest victory of the Clippers season was in the final seconds of Game 7 against the San Antonio Spurs when Los Angeles stunned the defending champs in the first round.  In one massive swipe, Matt Barnes denied Kawhi Leonard from attempting a game winning tip-in and sent the Clippers to the second round in emphatic fashion.

In what could be argued as the best series of the playoffs, the Clippers and Spurs went wire to wire in the first round before Los Angeles prevailed, and in doing so became a favorite to make it to the Finals.  For many, the victory looked to be the sign that the Clippers had finally arrived at the elite level.

The Spurs have done the work to keep their phenomenal core of Kawhi Leonard, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli intact.  They also lured away one of the biggest free-agents of the summer in signing LaMarcus Aldridge, adding incredible fire-power to their roster in the process.

With both teams reloaded for a run at the title, it will be interesting to see how things play out when they play each other for the first time in December.  Another note is that last seasons playoff seeding came down to the last day of games so any victory in the stacked Western Conference over a playoff team could be vital down the line as most teams were separated by less than a three-game difference.
