Kings Start The Season With Bad Bite
Wednesday night the 2015-16 NHL regular season gotten underway with the rising of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks banner.
Which was followed with three more exciting games to open the season, just depending on what team you were rooting for.
For me it was a great opening night, as the San Jose Sharks took a big bite out of their Southern rivals.
Kings fans on the other hand, started the game with something to cheer about early as the Kings captain, Dustin Brown shoot the puck towards the net, what was redirected from Nick Shore for the first goal of the game.

From then on, Kings fans didn’t have much to cheer about as the Sharks overpowered the Kings in every aspect of the game.
The Sharks responded shortly with two goals to end the first period to take a 2-1 lead, and continued the bleeding with two more goals in the second, and another goal in the third for a 5-1 win.
While watching the game, Sharks, and maybe Kings fans so what resembled a usual game from both sides, but the Sharks looked a lot like a team that could go all the way this year, but don’t they always.
To me the Sharks looked like a totally new team on the ice, as they finally found a formula to fully complete an entire game, and get the victory.
Which shouldn’t be that surprising under new head coach Peter DeBoer, who was brought in for those exact reasons.
The Sharks also had a new goaltender in Martin Jones, who should sound familiar to Kings fans since he was their goalie for 15 games last year.
Besides, the Kings new addition of Milan Lucic, and little new editions to the lineups for both teams
The Sharks, and Kings rosters were very much similar to last year’s.
With this being the first game out of the season, and eighty-one more games to go.
I wouldn’t be worried for the Kings, or over-hyped for the Sharks.
The Kings didn’t look bad in any shape, and didn’t stop competing.
It was more like the Sharks put the game in their hands, and took care of what they had to.
Let me put this into a better perspective, this will be the second straight year the Sharks started the season with a big win on the road against their northern rivals.
The Sharks shutout out the Kings last year on opening day.
Now, I know what you’re probably saying to yourself if you’re a Kings fan.
Something like, “the Kings missed the playoffs last year, so are you saying the Kings our going to miss it again?”
Well, no!
Bottom Line: It’s not as bad as it looked on opening night.
In fact, I expect the Kings to get back to their dominate ways, and that both the Kings, and Sharks will see each other in the playoffs once again.
Don’t get me wrong, though!
The Kings do need to work on some things if they want to stay on top of the food chain over the Sharks, and Ducks.
