LA Clippers Reach Glass Ceiling

It seems as though the LA Clippers and Lob City have reached their peak after all.

Looking at the way they’ve played as of late, there’s no longer any excuse or way around it — the Clippers are in big trouble.

It’s to the point where once undefeated Los Angeles just saw the floor fall from under them, all starting with their loss to the Golden State Warriors.

As predicted and foreseen by some media outlets, the game against the defending champs carried more weight to it than a lot of viewers realized.

And unfortunately for the Clippers faithful, the worst is yet to come.

Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan are all doing their part in leading the team in areas that fit their strengths, but it still doesn’t seem to be getting the job done.

Teams like the Phoenix Suns are taking full advantage of the collapse coming from the Clippers.

And if any more ground slips up unnecessarily, it’ll be exponentially more difficult for the team to succeed.

Doc Rivers has been in these kinds of situations before, and his expertise and advice couldn’t be more needed at this time.

Even the woeful Sacramento Kings were able to gain ground on the Clippers in the past week because they’ve been slipping up.

Thankfully, there’s a chance for redemption — but it’ll by no means be easy.

Los Angeles is 5-1 at home this season, whereas the Warriors are undefeated overall still, clinging to a now double-digit win streak.

A win in this situation would be exactly what the Clippers need to get back on track, but in order to do that they’ll have to collectively stop — or try to stop, I should say — Steph Curry.

And there’s no guy on any roster right now that can put his hot streak to a stop.

Chris Paul needs to rally the troops on offense, while letting Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan handle their business down low.

One thing that’s stood out like a sore thumb thus far is how much Chris Paul tries to do it all himself.

As good as he is, he’s not that good — and LA is starting to have that register.

The only game that’s been decided by more than ten points was their second game against the Dallas Mavericks — a game decided in a 118-104 fashion.

Besides that, the Clippers have shown some strength in tight games — but with that strategy comes the fear of the coin flip.

By that I mean that because you are so engulfed in that style of basketball, that any cold night by even just one player could end up costing you a game that you played well in.

Bottom Line: Clippers have comeback in sight.

Heck, even your best outing could end up as a loss in this scenario.

Golden State knows this full well, and they’ll be coming into Staples Center with guns blazing.

It’s time for Lob City to make a stand and back up the trash talk they so easily let out in the off-season.
