After the LA Clippers embarrassed the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, they went up north and got a taste of their own medicine.

They were embarrassed thoroughly by the second-best team in the East, and were held to scoring under 100 points.

They lost by eighteen.

The Raptors have been playing great as of lately, winning their eighth straight game against the Clippers, who were coming off a blow out win.

Chris Paul was the leading scorer for this team tonight, throwing down 23 points.

Los Angeles out-did the Raptors in fast break points by an 11-2 margin.

The points in the paint battle was lost only by four points.

They had two less turnovers and only scored twice as many points off the Raptors’ turnovers.

In all three box score statistics (field goal percentage, three pointer percentage, and free throw percentage), the Raptors won all of them really closely and blew out the Clippers in only one of them.

In the three pointers attempted and made, the Clippers did horribly, while their opponent did good.

Both teams did a decent job from the stripe, but only Toronto seemed to capitalize.

The Clippers just couldn’t convert from the three point line.

They were a horrid 30.8% only making 4 less three pointers than their victor.

Deandre Jordan and J.J. Redick backed up Chris Paul with double figures.

The rest of the team were under double digits.

The highest scorer in single digits for the team was Lance Stephenson and Austin Rivers with 8.

It was as if it were three vs five all night.

The rest of the team was invisible in this game compared to their game on Friday night.

Three players were acquired by the team in the off-season to help them fit the missing pieces; to help the organization and team win a championship.

One of those players, Josh Smith, was traded back to the Houston Rockets earlier in the week.

Lance Stephenson hasn’t been doing much either.

He was supposed to help them on defense the most and be able to assist them not he offense when needed.

More from LA Sports Hub

He scored the most for the other half of the team tonight next to Docs son.

Paul Pierce the veteran has actually been doing decently.

He has been doing better than everyone thought; yet he can still improve and do better.

Out of these three acquired players one is gone, one may not fit the Doc’s system, and the other one is still finding his place.

I have said the Clippers, with these trades, were smart — but just still need one more player similar to the player they traded to the Memphis Grizzlies Matt Barnes, who can play defense first and provide on offense when needed.

What if, instead of looking for another player, they just need to play more as a team with chemistry, togetherness, more heart, more determination, and more confidence?

The whole team, starters and non-starters, need to make plays and step up for the team when needed.

Who will be the next player(s) on the team to step up and show the team what they and the team are made of.

He will help provide that spark of energy and motivation for them.

If it is they just need to play with more aggressiveness; who will provide that and start that not the team?
