Fans of the Anaheim Ducks may disagree, and John Gibson deserves to be in this conversation, but Jonathan Quick has just been phenomenal and has the edge over Gibson in sample size. Quick has started 39 games this season, compared to Gibson’s 18.

So, although Gibson has the more minuscule numbers, the advantage goes to Quick for being just as impressive for twice the amount of time.

If Quick can continue shutting down opponents night in and night out, he will no doubt play himself into the conversation for his first career Vezina trophy.
