2017 is year of the Pac 12 quarterbacks in the NFL
Travis Wilson and the Utes were expected to do great things in 2014/2015 before he got injured in the 3rd game of the season against in-state rival Utah State.
He came back in 2015/2016 and helped lead them to be ranked 3rd in the nation at one point during the season.
They almost made the conference championship, but losses from USC and UCLA hindered them.
Coming back from an injury and leading Utah to one of their best seasons, I see him getting drafted late in day 2 or early day 3.
He is the prototypical quarterback NFL teams dream of and has the size while his speed is deceptive.
He is what I consider a dual-threat quarterback yet, I think he is much better on the run than inside the pocket.
He can stay in the pocket, take hits, he can throw on the run, or if everything completely breaks down he can run himself to get the first down, the win, and carry his team.
If it doesn’t work out for him as a quarterback in the league, he could convert to linebacker or even a receiver.
For receiver he has the height and linebacker because in high school he originally was a linebacker, before stepping up to the plate to be a quarterback after his high school quaterback and teammate went down.
Best case scenario Wilson should do what he wants to do in the NFL with the opportunity given and what gives him the best chances to play and be impactful.
