Out of Providence point guard Kris Dunn.

Yes the Suns already have a point guard but with drafting him they will be in great shape and can trade one of their other point guards, here is why.

He helped lead his team to the 2016 NCAA March Madness tournament.

They got their by winning the Big East Conference Tournament, defeating Villanova in a tightly contested game, Villanova would go on to win the 2016 NCAA March Madness Tournament.

In Dunns senior season he averaged a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

He is a decent size for a point guard at 6’3.

Dunn is extremely athletic for this position which is a good sign for the Suns.

He is quick off the dribble, moving without the ball, and on defense.

His skill set could probably be better then Russell Westbrook, because the difference is Dunn knows how to make quick decisions at the end of games.

Also he may be just a little better from beyond the arc, he has improved that area of his game every year.

One area that has always stayed with him along with his rebounds and points is the fact he is a ninja with stealing the ball from his opponent.

He knows how to play defense and that is what you need in the league before offense sometimes, because the offensive part of the game can be worked on.

The Suns only have two point guards Brandon Knight and Ronnie Price.

They each haven’t reached their full potential and taking Dunn 4th overall could help increase the competition and he could end up having the starting role.

He would start with Eric Bledsoe and company, then he would be making decisions all the time and making plays for his teammates by finding ways to give them the ball or taking over when he has too.

Dunn could either be the backup point or if he was the starter Bledsoe would move to the 2 guard position.

He is what the Suns need a for a future franchise point guard.

Remember they acquired Knight in a trade from the Pistons.

Kris Dunn can have an immediate impact on the Suns and they are both the perfect match for each other.

The only other playmakers Phoenix has are veteran Tyson Chandler and Eric Bledsoe, they need some more raw talent with good basketball IQ.
