Can the USC Trojans win out and end the season with a a 9-3 winning record?

USC has already been on a roller coaster ride in all of their seven games this season. After making it to the Pac 12 Conference Championship Game in 2015 they were expected to make it back their in 2016.

Yet it does not look like that will happen this year. Hold your thoughts because the season isn’t over and they did just get their 3rd conference win over the Arizona Wildcats in Arizona.

Their hopes of making the College Football Playoffs and being a National Champion are down the drain, yet they can still be crowned the Pac 12 Champion if all goes well.

All they have to do is win the rest of their games which is difficult but possible.

With that being said the USC Trojans are a much better team than many fans and critics think. They started out with a losing record of 2-3 but were a much better team than their record states.

Now seven games into the season they sit at 4-3 after winning 3 straight conference games and with a quarterback change. They should be 5-2 after an ugly loss to Utah.

Against Stanford they struggled, fought their way back, just to let it slip away. Their only “TRUE” blowout loss was to the defending champions Alabama Crimson Tide. They Roll Tide all over the Trojans embarrassing them in their season opener.

The good news for the USC Trojans is they have improved and have a chance at bowl game at the worst. At the most they can make the Pac 12 Conference Championship game if all goes well and in their favor.

Also the Pac 12 is the most competitive conference, that is why any team can defeat anyone on any given day. They are also considered for one of the best conferences in college football.

Many critics disagree since no team goes undefeated or if they do they don’t make it to the CFB because of their schedule. That is why it is one of the best conferences since anyone can beat anyone, unlike the SEC where one team rolls over every team in the Conference in no contest.

USC has had plenty of chances to prove their worth in college football and they are better than most critics and fans think. They have great players, with great talent, skill, and IQ.

Despite much drama that has been going on around them they have managed to stay together and as their motto says fight on!

They have been through thick and thin with each other. The next man has stepped up. Their new starting quarterback has displayed to everyone what he can do.

He is more of a mobile quarterback therefore he is dual threat, yet he is young and still needs to learn to see the whole field and trick his opponents to make big plays.

They have a strong run game and receiving core, along with special teams and a good defense, and decent offense.

Had they beat Uath they may have still had a chance to make the CFB Playoffs if they went undefeated the rest of the way and won the Pac 12 Conference Championship game as a 2 loss team.

We have yet to see a 2 loss team in the playoffs, yet alone a Pac 12 team. Could USC have been the ones if they didn’t lose to Utah, who just the other day got upset by CAL. Could we even see a 3 loss Conference Champion in the playoffs?

We have to wait to find out until the end of the season. For right now the Trojans just need to focus on the next game and worry about defeating a very underrated Cal Team next Saturday. Cal last night took down Oregon in double overtime.
