Obviously, the Dodgers probably don’t like being in this situation.

Given that it’s not their first time in this pickle, that only adds fuel to the fire. Whether or not Kenley Jansen returns to the Dodgers shouldn’t be what makes or breaks their season.

Heck, it hasn’t even started yet.

There’s still plenty of potential on this team, and it’s raw talent in the end that will help them compete.

What playing without Jansen will do, though, is put the majority of the pressure back on the shoulders of Clayton Kershaw.

It will mean that the team will begin to expect even more out of their ace, but if he’ll live up to the challenge or not is yet to be seen.

Los Angeles has to make sure this off-season isn’t wasted on just pitching, though. They won’t make it to, let alone win, a World Series unless their offense can click on all cylinders in the playoffs.

Perhaps re-signing Justin Turner takes priority in this case, or they find a way to grab a valuable free agent.

All we can do though in regards to Kenley Jansen at this point is wait.

Next: Could Dodgers land Jose Bautista?

The decision is ultimately his, and then the team can figure out the rest from there.
