Wilt Chamberlin was the perfect player if you were to look at a player’s scoring ability.

Coming out of the University of Kansas, Chamberlin didn’t play for the Lakers until the last five years of his career.

Even then, his resume that he carried with him stood alone.

A 13-time All-Star, among other bold accomplishments, helped his career stand out.

He is the only player to reach triple digits in a single game (100). Kobe Bryant came close during his career in a game against the Toronto Raptors where he dropped 81, but that still wasn’t close.

Chamberlin has the best shooting percentage of any Lakers player, with .605 being his mark.

He also leads the team record books in overall rebounds per game (different than Abdul-Jabbar’s record) with an average of 19.2 per game.

Chamberlin was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1979.
