One of the bigger parts of the team’s three-peat at the start of the century, Shaquille O’Neal transformed Lakers basketball.

His greatest downfall, of course, happened to be teammate Kobe Bryant, who didn’t always share the fondest memories of the big man.

Regardless, O’Neal let his presence be known while wearing purple and gold.

Beginning his career in 1993, Shaq played three years in Orlando before coming to Los Angeles.

In his time with the Lakers, the former LSU phenom won three straight NBA Finals MVP awards (’00-’02).

O’Neal had the third-most offensive rebounds for a Lakers player with 1,957 throughout his time with the team. He is also seventh overall in team points, with 13,895.

The 2016 Hall of Fame class included Shaquille O’Neal’s name.
