Closing Thoughts

Knowing where the franchise needs to be while recognizing where they’re at is crucial to any improvement and moving forward.

While potential free agent signings are exciting to talk about, how the potential franchise cornerstones perform cannot be ignored. As much as we’d like to think everyone on the roster right now — let alone the starting lineup — is untouchable, they’re not.

After moving veteran Lou Williams in a deal with the Houston Rockets at the trade deadline, the idea that the Lakers have or want time to mess around was removed from thought.

Now the immediate future of the team will be in the hands of one of their all-time greatest players.
