Many different Dodgers rumors have predicted various amounts of wins for the team. MLB the Show 17 gave Dodgers’ fans a result they will approve.

So many Dodgers rumors surface before the season, some of these rumors are used to predict the record of the team. This prediction, in particular, is using a praised MLB video game.

MLB the Show is perhaps the most popular baseball video game that we have ever seen. Every season spanning back to 2006, the developers with Sony over at San Diego Studio put out an extremely well praised, realistic baseball video game.

Year after year MLB the Show builds off of its already strong reputation, adding more features and details that cement its status as the king of baseball video games. With so much realism, the game arguably can be called the most realistic sports simulation game on the market. That fact alone has caused multiple outlets to see what exactly will unfold next season.

Over at FanSided affiliated site App Trigger, they put together a simulation of the entire 2017 MLB season. While you may want to take this with a grain of salt, the results for the Los Angeles Dodgers were very promising.

The Dodgers finished the season with a 100-62 record, marking the first time since 1974 that the Dodgers managed to win 100 games in the regular season. That record amounted to the Dodgers finishing first in the NL West, beating out the wild card Giants by a mere four games.

The Dodgers run differential was outstanding, owning a +201 run differential. This +201 run differential is up 133 runs from last year and was actually the highest of the simulation. Not only did the Dodgers have the best run differential in the simulation, they had the best record in all of baseball.

More from Dodgers Rumors

While the Dodgers have yet to piece it all together in real life and put up these kinds of results, they definitely succeed on paper. According to the simulation from App Trigger, Clayton Kershaw thrived with “232.1 IP, 282 K, 1.78 ERA and 0.95 WHIP” alongside Corey Seager’s “30 home run, 99 RBI campaign”.

This led to both Seager and Kershaw receiving honors at the end of the season.

Seager had won the National League Silver Slugger Award for shortstops, with Kershaw winning even higher honors. With his numbers, Kershaw not only won the National League Cy Young Award, but pulled in his second National League Most Valuable Player.

Whether or not the boys in blue played well in the playoffs, according to these Dodgers rumors, is yet to be seen. What has been seen is that with the talent the Dodgers have they will thrive and go into October as the best team in baseball.
