The Lakers would instantly boost their frontcourt in this deal, acquiring powerhouse dunker Aaron Gordon alongside rebounding machine Nikola Vucevic. The Lakers don’t really have a huge need at the power forward position for Gordon, but he could play small forward in a big lineup and would give the Lakers two giants in Gordon and Ingram. Plus, Gordon would bring the physicality that Ingram does not.

This deal would give the Lakers depth at the forward spots, which would give them a great start to turning back into contenders. Sure, they lost their first round pick next season, but freeing up Mozgov also free’s up cap space. The Lakers could make a splash in free agency, giving them a deep young team alongside a star to lead it.

Admittedly, this deal is very far-fetched and I do not see it happening, but if it did it would give the Lakers two great stars from OIrlando. Gordon is averaging 12.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while Vucevic averages 14.6 points and 10.4 rebounds. Neither guy is going to turn the team around into contenders, but together, they provide much more production than the Lakers have.

This would be an interesting deal as it would make the Lakers extremely deep in some areas and pretty thin in others. This is what free agency and their draft picks are for. The Lakers could easily snag up players to compliment this move in the draft, making this move seem like a great one – despite how unlikely it is.
