The latest Clippers news has to do with surprising praise of Chris Paul from a recent opponent.

If the Utah Jazz had lost Game 7, it’d be interesting to see if this would still be considered Clippers news. Head coach of the Jazz, Quin Snyder, gave his comments as to how he really feels about Chris Paul.

The All-Star point guard has yet to reach the third round of the playoffs, but that didn’t stop Snyder’s analysis.

Here’s what was said of Chris Paul, according to a story in the Salt Lake Tribune.

Per the report:

"“I think no matter what you do, he figures it out,” Snyder said this week. “He’s probably as good as any coach in the league as far as his ability to make adjustments — and he doesn’t have to wait until timeouts to do it.”"

Snyder later added that he considers Paul to be an “all-time great” in the league.

After being one of the injured stars alongside Blake Griffin last year, Paul did what he could to keep LA afloat in 2017. However, the Utah Jazz were just too tough and too good, especially in Game 7.

Additionally, if Paul ever does reach the conference finals, it’ll only strengthen his case. The Clippers would like it if they were still playing, but that’s not all Paul’s problem.

He’ll have plenty of things to consider in the off-season, including where he’ll play next. Like Blake Griffin, Paul will get to decide if he wants to remain with the Clippers.

After blowing a playoff series lead in five consecutive seasons, it’s hard to think of reasons for him to stick around. But money talks, and that might be all the Clippers need to keep him put.
